Don't forget to read the label ...

If you have oily skin or are prone to acne, you'll want to choose oil-free or non-comedogenic cosmetics. Oil-free cosmetics contain little or no isopropyl myristate, isopropyl esters, oleic acid, stearic acid, petrolatum and lanolin. Non-comedogenic products are less likely to plug oil glands when they are applied to the skin. Acne forms when a pore is blocked, trapping oil and bacteria, and resulting in a pustular infection. Keep in mind that when a product is labelled as non-comedogenic, the claim doesn't hold true for everyone. It's always best to test a new product on your own skin rather than rely solely on referrals or labelling information.
