Have a new rash?

Have a new rash?

Has your skin suddenly become red, itchy or inflamed? Could something you've been exposed to have possibly caused the rash? You may be experiencing contact dermatitis (also known as eczema). Remember that moisturizers can play an important preventative role by increasing your skin's hydration level and maintaining and repairing its barrier function. Inflamed skin is warmer, so more water evaporation takes place. In response to the irritation, regular applications of a moisturizer will protect and calm the skin. If the rash doesn't improve within 2 to 3 days, consult your doctor for available treatments and to determine the cause of the allergic reaction.
